DEAR DANZIG is a play on a familiar 1950s cartoon character, reimagining a young Danzig putting on the Crimson Ghost mask for the first time, while wearing his infamous hand-painted ribcage T-shirt from the late ’70s. The contrast is the point: taking someone known for such a dark, rebellious image and imagining an innocent, childlike version of him that never existed. The speech bubble, “LET’S DANCE!”, pushes that contradiction even further. It’s deliberately niche and intimate—made for people who understand the references rather than explaining them to everyone.
